Sam's career in real estate began 30+ years ago, as a fourth generation real estate professional. He and Jane created Ogburn Properties in 2001 with a goal to serve clients seeking to buy, sell or rent properties or those needing property management services. He holds a North Carolina Real Estate Brokers License and is a licensed building contractor. Sam was awarded the Winston-Salem Regional Association of Realtors, Realtor of the Year award in 2015 and the Property Manager of the Year award in 2019.

Sam is an expert at positioning properties to maximize returns in both brokerage & management.

Additionally, Sam holds the following certifications: Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Certified Property Manager (CPM), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), and Graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI).

Sam has led a variety of real estate related boards over the years, including the Winston-Salem Association of Realtors (WSRAR), WSRAR Property Management Division and Multiple Listings Service, and the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Chapter 56. His community involvement has included serving on the board of the Central Branch of the YMCA, Metro YMCA of Northwest North Carolina, and YMCA Camp Hanes. Sam also served on the Board of Trustees and Head of the Property Committee for Centenary United Methodist Church, as well as Assistant Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop 920.

As one of the founders of the company, Jane has been involved in most every facet of Ogburn Properties. Her primary focus is managing the administrative aspect of the business, including banking, accounting, and insurance. Jane has a Business Administration Degree from UNC Chapel Hill, a North Carolina Real Estate Brokers License, a Property & Casualty Insurance License, and an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation. She is involved in the Junior League of Winston-Salem and Centenary United Methodist Church.

Lora joined Ogburn Properties in 2008 as the Leasing Coordinator and transitioned to Sales Office Administrator in 2013. Lora has been a dedicated member of our team for many years. Her primary focus is assisting Sam in all aspects of the company's brokerage activities. Lora has a BA in Sociology from North Carolina State University and a North Carolina Real Estate Broker's License. Outside of work, Lora enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, dogs, and is a supporter of the Forsyth County Humane Society

Caroline joined Ogburn Properties in 2013, after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in Communications Studies. As the Leasing Coordinator, she does a wonderful job greeting current residents and potential new ones! Caroline assists potential new residents in their search for rental property, seeks to resolve and concerns of current residents, and assists the property manager and business manager in a variety of office related functions. 

Trish joined Ogburn Properties in 2021 and provides strong support for various operational roles in the office. Trish has over 30 years of administrative experience, including 15 years as a real estate paralegal. Outside the office, Trish is an active member in Hope Community Church. She enjoys the outdoors and fostering animals through the Forsyth County Humane Society.
